Halloween has well and truly arrived for Frome Library this week!
On Wednesday evening we hosted our regular sold out quiz at Palmer Street Bottle, where 11 teams donned their spookiest finery, dusted off the old brain cells and battled it out to become Halloween masters. Spooky goings-on in the Children’s Library
On Thursday, a coven of mini ghouls and witches descended on the library for some creative fun with the librarians. Terrifying treat or treat bags, spooky spiderwebs, wicked witches, paper pumpkins, tissue ghosts and straw-skeletons were all lovingly created from various crafting materials, and we think you’ll agree they all look brilliant!
But there’s still more to come!
On Friday morning, there is a special Story Explorers Session with Somerset Skills & Learning, all about the classic Julia Donaldson picture book, Room on the Broom. Enjoy a morning of storytelling and crafts from 10 until midday. Booking isn’t required, but is preferred, just speak to one of the librarians.
Thanks to the generosity of our Friends, we have been able to contribute towards the costs of the craft materials for these sessions, as well as provide a free sweet treat to every child who participated in the sessions!
