Help save our train for future generations
For 35 years, the Frome Library train has delighted visitors to its children section, but sadly the years are starting to take their toll on our poor little engine, so we’re launching this appeal to show it some love and give it a much needed glow-up!
In partnership with the talented Monday Shedders of The Frome Shed, we are looking to raise £400 to cover the costs of this much needed renovation which will include the purchase of specialist, child-friendly paint and replacement parts.
Originally presented to Frome Library by the Frome branch of Lloyd’s bank in 1991, the train has lived a life…surviving not only the library fire of 2005, but thousands of baby boogies and toddler times.
Donations towards our train appeal can be made via our Donate page and below, and what’s more, every donation made includes the opportunity to suggest a name for the train. That’s right, it’s 35 years old and doesn’t have a name, so let’s rectify that!
