Boogie Wonderland at Frome Library

On a scorcher of a summer afternoon, 150 or so eager disco boppers descended on the library for an ice-lolly and a dance with Frome icon, Cheryl Sprinkler. Why? To celebrate the Summer Reading Challenge and summer holidays, of course! The brief was simple - sign up as many children as possible to the Summer Reading Challenge whilst having fun doing it! Well, thanks to the children of Frome, the library managed a record number of sign-ups, so many in fact that they ended the day atop the leaderboard for the county! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a dance and for patiently queuing up to take part in the challenge. And of course, huge thanks to Ginny, AKA Cheryl Spinkler, AKA Mojo Moves, for bringing the noise and energy.

The Summer Reading Challenge runs throughout the summer until September, so if you were unable to visit yesterday, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to register at the library.
